Los Angeles native Cate Kennan played for the first time in Cologne along with Scott Gilmore at Gold+Beton in 2018, hosted by Meryem Erkus, Roman Hiele and Waltraud Blischke. In her Gold+Beton live set Cate surprised her audience with an amazing slingshot on elegant IDM sculptures for the floor, since then she started to explore the ambient side in spectral synth excursions for new melodic electronics, textural chords within quite brisk rhythmic patterns. After touring in the U.S. for a while with several musicians Cate Kennan will be back in Europe finally and present new material and her latest album „The Arbitrary Dimension Of Dreams“, published 2022 on the label Post Present Medium.
The second live act emphasizes Kennan’s sense for amorphous compositions because the exceptional artist Milan Warmoeskerken will take over. As Milan W. the Antwerp producer and instrumentalist has been part of the elaborate circle of the avant-garde, club-friendly electronic school from Belgium live and on recordings for over a decade in collaboration e.g. with Ultra Eczema, Mittland Och Leo, Ekster, Spencer Clark, Flying Horseman, Roman Hiele or Elko Blijweert. It’s very likely that Milan W. will ushering us in new sonic boundaries in order to gently cover them with sandpaper. Maybe he will drive forward with some ideas and reveals previously best kept secrets before his new album is released. For sure.
