Welcome to Wu-Lu. South London singer and producer is coming up with his new album „Loggerhead“. In the interview he is explaining his open mic arrangement, inviting people to join him on stage. „Loggerhead“ is linked with post-punk, r&b, the sound of beatmakers and hiphop. At the same time the artist displays a narrative about his home base South London, gentrification and the people having a hard life. What else do we listen to in the july issue of „Broadcast“? The Sonic Liberation Front and their supreme take on Oliver Lakes vocal works; Charlotte Adigery and Bolis Pupul, a Belgian duo with their interpretation of electro funk, playing with the politics of dancing. Plus: new Tracks from WEMA, Danger Mouse & Black Thought, Bess Of Bedlam, Neue Grafik Ensemble and brass loving japanese bands, thoroughly compiled by Markus Acher of Notwist fame and Saya (Tenniscoats) for „Alien Parade Japan“. The finish is for krautisch Faust – or faustisch Krauts, as you like.
„Broadcast“, sunday, july 10th 6 to 8 pm
Enjoy!
