We warmly introduce rotation as our core concept, offering a platform for newcomers and artists who share our commitment to exploration by embracing errors, mistakes in try-outs. soft rotation is a concert series of time-based sound performances encompassing practices, actions, computer music, electronics, acoustic music, and audio-visual.

We invite you to join us, hang out, and talk with the artists, exchanging knowledge and ideas following each concert.

Sarah Košicki is a German/ Croatian singer and noise artist. With her dark ambient folkish sound and uncanny topics, she still remains to levitate listeners into a sphere of melancholy and nostalgia.

Sarah Košicki ist eine deutsch/ kroatische Sängerin und Noisekünstlerin. Mit ihrem Sound bestehend aus Darkambient und Folk, und ihren beklemmenden Themen, entführt sie die Zuhörer:Innen dennoch in eine Sphere von Melancholie und Nostalgie.

Eine fünf Meter lange Lochkarte wird durch eine von Muskelkraft angetriebene Spieluhr gezogen und steuert eine elektronische Drum Machine. Eine weitere Spieluhr, die sporadisch von Hand gekurbelt wird, ergänzt die perkussiven Elemente des Synthesizers.

Nach seinem Bachelorstudium zum Industrie Designer an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal begann Justus Kaufmann (*1999 in Ratingen, Deutschland) sein grundständiges Studium an der Kunsthochschule für Medien in Köln. Dort beschäftigt er sich vorzugsweise mit Sound, Videokunst und Skulptur. Er reagiert auf das, was ihn umgibt, indem er kommentiert, provoziert oder ganz einfach die Aufmerksamkeit auf Details lenkt, die im routinierten Alltag oft übersehen werden.
