Heyho 674ers,
the man addresses all of us serious freaks and weirdos out there, he’s back in Germany for the first time since the nineteenhundredxxxs – to play a live show in equally legendary Cologne club „Basement“, may 21st. Here we go with an interview and music from singer/songwriter Jim White, the man who discovered the „wrong-eyed jesus“ and a crazy dark tone in his music, the guy, who is „constantly fluctuating between various non-genres that mostly begin with post-, neo- or alt“, to quote „Pitchfork“. Did you know: He spent some time as a fashion model in Cologne, before he began to step into the vast landscape of American dreams and nightmares on his records? He is talking as well about depression and the luck of being a father to children in the interview.
White will be headlining this „Broadcast“ show, followed by the likes of Calexico, Kevin Farge and James Xerxes Fussell. You will have the chance to listen to new music from Sault (totally orchestrated, wow!) Jimi Tenor, Sélène Saint-Aimé, Ill Considered, Kae Tempest, Magnetic Ghost Orchestra, Daniel Villareal, The (reissued) Staples Jr. Singers and some more.
