burgund t brandt ist Klangkünstlerin und Komponistin. Anhand von Feldaufnahmen, Syntheseverfahren und (elektro-)akustischen Instrumenten werden die Überschneidungen zwischen Ökologie und experimenteller Musik erforscht. In der Live-Improvisation Between Distances verflechten sich Signalverarbeitungen und -verschiebungen, die via Software Defined Radio (SDR) live empfangen werden, mit Feldaufnahmen, elektromagnetischen Umgebungsgeräuschen, elektroakustischen und bioakustischen Klängen. Mikroskopische Klänge, die für das menschliche Ohr sonst nicht hörbar sind lösen die Grenzen zwischen natürlichen und synthetischen Klängen auf. The intersections between ecology and experimental music are explored by means of field recordings, synthesis processes and (electro)acoustic instruments. In the live improvisation Between Distances, signal processing and shifting intertwine, received live through software defined radio (SDR), with field recordings, electromagnetic ambient noise, electroacoustic and bioacoustic sounds. Microscopic sounds that are otherwise inaudible to the human ear dissolve the boundaries between natural and synthetic sounds.
